Gilles Deleuze’s Francis Bacon – TheLogic of Sensation is ready to be (re)discovered as a vital source of engagement with art practices. Thirty years after its publication in France a Danish translation became available last year and a Dutch translation is set for this year. A perfect opportunity to assess what this little book by one of the great philosophers of the last century still has to offer to architects, artists and scholars.
On Friday March 21, from 16.00 to 18.00 the research seminar on the Science of the Sensible will host a conversation between dr. Sjoerd van Tuinen and dr. Peter Borum on what we can learn from Deleuze’s encounter with the arts in general and the art of painting and the work of Francis Bacon in particular.
This event will be in English.
Admission is free. Registration is recommended.
