Beethoven & Fortællinger
The most intimate concert of our 2020 festival combines music with the spoken word and explores the storytelling powers of chamber music. Join us and experience Beethoven combined with Tolstoy, as well as a contemporary take on H.C. Andersen.
Beethoven Violin Sonata No. 9 (“Kreutzer”) Op. 47
Kevin Lau “The Nightingale” for piano, violin & clarinet
Equinox is a chamber music festival uniting friends and colleagues from around the world. Founded in 2017 in Copenhagen by Jean-Hee Lee and Emma Steele, Equinox pushes the boundaries of chamber music - our concerts are in unexpected venues, informal and welcoming. We challenge ourselves by collaborating with dancers and exploring new creative processes - and we share our work at free outreach events around the city. But most importantly Equinox brings people together - and if there are two things that we can’t live without, it is good music and good friends.
We hope you will be inspired by this talented group of artists and invite you to join one of our concerts this spring.
Equinox is led by Jean-Hee Lee, Emma Steele, Livio Russi and Samuel Rees.
