24 mar 2020 kl. 10:00 - 17:00

Social Cinema, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Kongens Nytorv 1, 1050 København

What if you are not the centre of all things? Most of the problems we are facing today stem from Man putting himself at the centre of nature and society. A new way of viewing our place in the world could maybe save both ourselves and the environment. During the day, we will challenge you to reevaluate your place in the universe and consider what the next steps in our evolution might be. We will explore toxic masculinity, discover how patriarchy is ruining the planet and consider gender-fluidity as a more positive alternative. Also, we will learn how the concept of an individual self is an illusion, and how we are more interconnected with other people, creatures and things than we think. We will ask how effective the creative community can be in addressing the empathy deficit that our collective self-absorption, fuelled by social media, has led to, and end by asking, what is the role of the human in the Age of the Machine?

The conference takes place in the Social Cinema at Kunsthal Charlottenborg.

Students and retirees can buy tickets at a discount in our box office at Kunsthal Charlottenborg which will be open from March 18 between 10am - 5pm. Price is 275 DKK with correct ID.
