How to survive the Danish Christmas?

28 nov 2019 kl. 18:00 - 20:00

Kulturhuset Islands Brygge, Islands Brygge 18, 2300 København

You just moved to Denmark. You have your CPR nr, your yellow card, a place to stay, and you are now ready to meet the Danes and get the full experience of Danish society.

You realise pretty fast that there is ONE thing Danes talk about all the time from October to January: Christmas.

Well we know what you think. You think you don’t need to know more about Christmas. You know what it is and you are probably going to celebrate it with your family like any other year. But hey, Christmas in Denmark is not what you think it is. It is the most important event in the Danes’ calendar. Yes, more important than Roskilde Festival and Granny’s birthday.

But why is that? Why is Christmas SO important for the Danes?

Come to a 2 hour crash course about how (and why) to celebrate Christmas like a Dane.

We are going to talk about Christmas
We are going to taste Christmas
We are going to sing Christmas
We are going to dance Christmas
We are going to enjoy Christmas together

Looking forward to see you :-)
