A long, long time ago exact, 25 years ago some young people started an Industrial/EBM/Synth club at the the famous venue Barbue. 25 years later 2 of the old founders and chairmen Brian & Hightower got the idea to organize a 25 year anniversary party, a tribute to the club which became one of the most legendary clubs in Denmark and Scandinavia.
At the event we will serve you with a lot of good music, include two of the acts who opened the club back in March 1993, Godheads and Birmingham 6, also on stage the kick ass formation Neotek, beside that the 2 founds Brain & Hightower will be spinning some great tunes for you!
There´s no doubt that the anniversary will be a remarkable event with legends on stage.
Neotek/Birmingham 6:
Neotek is a Danish Industrial/EBM act who was formed in 1985. After 10 years they finally released their debut album "Brain Over Muscle" in 1995, an album that´s packet with good tunes. In the 90´ties Neotek didn´t played live, but two of the member Henrik & Jacob played live with Good Courgage who gave a concert at Club Metropolis in the middle of the 90´ties.
In 2009 Neotek released their 2nd album with the strange & funny title "Sex, Murder & Rock ´N`Roll" Afterward Neotek was joined by Michael Hillerup from Birmingham which game Neotek
another dimention live, a pure kick ass show!
At the anniversary Neotek will do a pure Birmingham 6 set!
Godheads:
Godheads opened Club Metropolis together with Birmingham 6 back in March 1993 were they
played their debut concert. In 1994 Godheads got signed to the Danish label Hard Records where
they released their debut album "The Rush Inside" some of the album was produced by Martin Hall
and Thomas Li. 2 Years after the remix album "The Rush Inside Re Shuffle" was released. In 1997
Godheads 2nd album was released "Ordinary Swoon" where Tom Holkenborg (Nerve/Junkie XL) was co producer. Godheads disappeared, and the singer Jimmy Machon became and member and the leadsinger of Lights Of Euphoria, who is still active nowadays, beside that he plays keyboards for the Swedish Synth Pop band Elegant Machinery. Godheads was inspired by bands like Die Krupps, Nitzer Ebb, Funker Vogt.
Here will be a chance, and probably the last one to Godheads back on stage for first time in around 20 years. Godheads will play some of their club hits like "War Of Violence","Body & Mind" and hopefully "Garden Of Sin"
