A recent test on olive oils in Danish supermarkets has shown that most of them are not extra virgin olive oil, as the label shows. Maybe the olive oil that you are buying is also fake?
Do you want to learn how to tell the difference between real extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) from a fake when you are in the supermarket?
You are invited to our new Lab for an educational night about EVOO, where we will also serve homemade pasta and a glass of wine.
During this evening we will answer to common questions like:
Is it possible to distinguish between a good olive oil and a "commercial" one?
Can we understand if the olive oil is a "real" just by looking at the label?
Can an olive oil give us the same nice feeling of a good glass of wine?
Which olive oil combines with our food best?
Which one should we use for fish or meat?
And most important, is the olive oil we buy healthy?
We will taste 4 different olive oils and teach you the technique to taste it, alone and with food.
Included in the class, a glass of wine and our delicious homemade pasta – you will get two plates made with two olive oils, so you can taste the difference.
The speaker is an expert Italian olive oil taster, Catullo Manciocchi, Assaggiatore Nazionale e Membro Panel CAPOL.
