Explore BLOX, the new home of Danish Architecture Center and Copenhagen’s new architectural landmark. On this guided tour, you will hear the visionary thoughts behind the project and experience how BLOX is more than just a building. It is a pulsating city in itself.
BLOX is both a city development project, a city in itself and the home of the architecture center of the 21st Century.
BLOX houses Danish Architecture Center (DAC) and an urban innovation hub that brings together dozens of other design-related organizations and companies creating solutions for cities. In BLOX, DAC offers world-class exhibitions, guided tours, events, a design shop, café, and conference facilities.
This innovative structure, designed by the world-famous Dutch firm OMA under the leadership of Partner/Director Ellen van Loon, stands as an important new destination for exploring the city.
Learn more about OMA’s creative solutions for this long under-developed site and hear how the firm designed the building to provide a new passage to Copenhagen’s Harbor.
Get an overview of the building and the new exhibitions when we explore DAC in BLOX.
Entrance to DAC’s exhibitions, including ‘Welcome Home’, is included with the ticket.
The tour takes 60 minutes and entry into the exhibition is included in the price.
We meet near the red couch at The Harbor Entrance in DAC Passage. Remember to announce your arrival to DAC staff at the welcome desk so they can scan your ticket. Please note that a part of the guided tour is outside.
