In anticipation of The Blues Woman, her forthcoming Copenhagen restaurant, Chef Amanda Yee launches a weekly brunch and dinner pop-up under the same name starting September 30th.
With dishes including buttermilk cornbread hash with local greens and andouille sausage for brunch, and braised oxtails with purple grits gnocchi for dinner — plus drinks like a rosé hibiscus mimosa and a bloody mary with housemade barbecue sauce and pickled okra — the menu showcases The Blues Woman’s foundation of good, seasonal eating, “from the rooter to the tooter.”
The brunch menu features an exclusive collaboration with Milton Addison Abel II. The sourdough toast served with the grilled Gillardeau oysters and the vegan beignets come from the celebrated pastry chef, as do desserts like sweet potato pie cake. The sweets were created especially for The Blues Woman by Andersen & Maillard pastry chef and co-owner Milton Addison Abel II.
