ROCKFREAKS.NET PRESENTS: The Deadnotes (DE) + support TBA
The Deadnotes are an indie-flavored, melodic punk band from Freiburg, Germany with smoky, fuzzy, and depth-laden melodies, which fall somewhere in between The Weakerthans and The Smith Street Band. They're a frequent guest on Danish shores having played in Copenhagen multiple times in the past.
They have just released a new album called, "Courage", which has received widespread critical acclaim.
With over 500 shows played in over 25 countries sharing the stage with the likes of Boston Manor, Don Broco and Foxing, their career has only just started. The fervency with which the trio pursues the band is simply contagious.
With the new record “Courage” released on their own label 22Lives Records, the band played their biggest headline shows to date in early 2020 before the second half of the tour had to be cut short due to the global pandemic. In spite of this setback, backing down and pausing was never an option for them.
In the meantime, they have not only released a new video for their album single “Ghost on the Ceiling”, exclusively premiered via Alternative Press, but also the “Waldsee Live Session”, produced with the help of their live crew on the day of their hometown release show that had to be canceled due to Covid-19 at the very last minute. It not only shows the live quality of the band in a very intense and impressive manner but also captures their unique integrity and drive to always look forward and make the very best out of tricky situations. This makes them without a doubt one of the hardest working and most interesting current international newcomer bands in the Indie/Punk scene.
In 2021 the “Courage” tour will finally be continued even bigger and more intense, including a many new dates confirmed in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Denmark.
