Product development for 3D printing is an interactive workshop about the challenges and opportunities posed by 3D printing adoption in the areas of design and product development. Our experts will share their insights based on years of experience in the industry and academia with case studies, exercises and open discussions.
In order to make use of the full range of 3D printing capabilities, it is fundamental to understand the mindset abandon the old way of thinking about design. Join the workshop to gain the necessary tools for doing so, and to prepare your skills to the jobs of the future.
By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Summarize the latest trends of 3D printing and additive manufacturing technology
- Apply principles of design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) to current, and new, products
Assess the suitability of 3D printing and/or additive manufacturing for new products
- Make better and faster decisions regarding the use of 3D printing throughout the whole product development process, from idea to production.
