Der er revolution i luften, når palæstinensiske 47SOUL 1. maj bringer deres højenergiske og grænsenedbrydende dansemusik, ‘shamstep’, til ALICE
47SOUL har introduceret verden til en helt ny genre ’shamstep’ – en høj pulserende blanding af den traditionelle arabiske dansemusik dabke og palæstinensisk gademusik tilsat tunge elektroniske beats og syrerock. Lydbilledet bevæger sig fra dunkende bas til melodiøse universer.
Det er gået hurtigt for den genreeksperimenterende gruppe, siden de lagde singlen ‘Intro to Shamstep’ på YouTube, der fik millioner af visninger på rekordtid. At musikken er mere end et YouTube-fænomen beviste de sidste år på Roskilde Festival, hvor de satte Apollo i vibrationer; vibrationer, der fortsatte ind på et udsolgt Global Copenhagen samme år. Nu er det altså ALICE, der står for skud!
På en scene leverer 47SOUL højenergiske optrædener, der sætter publikum i ustoppelige vibrationer og tilstande af trance. Men gruppen er mere end bare festlige udskejelser. De blander engelske og arabiske tekstuniverser i deres kamp for at få budskaber om frihed og lighed ud til deres publikum.

They present the world their own and unique music genre called ‚Shamstep‘ - a powerful mix of traditional street music from the 'Sham'-region (Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria) combined with deep electronic beats and influences from funk, hip-hop and rock. 47SOUL connect melodies that have been echoing through the Arab World for centuries with analogue synthesizers, hypnotic guitar lines, and verses in both Arabic and English.

ALICE is presenting a bold and high quality program of global roots, jazz/improv, electronic music, sonic experiments and much more, shedding light on musical roots and legendary artists as well as exciting new breakthroughs from all over the world.
