Come one and all and let's get wild for wild cider-- and Fruit Pét-Nat! The creative masterminds behind Æblerov are changing the way that we see cider. In fact, some of the ciders that we'll be tasting remind more of natural wine than any cider you've ever tried. So buckle up and prepare for a "wild" ride.
The tasting will be led by the "Apple Thieves" (Æblerov in Danish) themselves and they'll walk you through the history of the company, the process behind the production, and the secrets hidden within each bottle.We'll be tasting:
*** Frankofil -- Wild fermented cider, 50% cider apples and 50% eating apples, including a Danish-grown French-originating varietal of apple. It'll make a Frankofil out of you.
*** Cox I Pæren 2021 -- Æblerov does more than apples. This bottle contains wild fermented cider from organic Danish apples, pears and quinces (65%+25%+10%=100% nature). It’s insane in the brain, sophisticated and enticing.
*** Taxi -- Love orange wine? Then look no further. After 24 hours in a Hungarian taxi, Furmint and Hárslevelű grapes from Homoky Dorkas vineyards Dongó and Palota in Tokaj were mixed with Rød Aroma apples and Portuguese pear quinces in Svinninge. After 90 days of maceration, this orange beauty teamed up with a beetroot apple cider shortly before bottling. This is the taste of Orange!
*** Pseudo -- Is this cider, beer or wine? Nope, it's cider, beer AND wine - a kind of graff on steroids. Organic Danish apple cider mixed with barrel aged wild ale from Baghaven & 100 L danish wine on Regent grapes.
You'll get 4 pours, light snacks, plus a whopping 20% discount on whatever Æblerov bottles you'd like to take home to share with all of your favorite people.The event will be in English. See you there!
