This beautiful piano trio saw the light of day in Firenze 2017 when Milano based pianist and composer Antonio Zambrini and danish bassist Jesper Bodilsen, who after numerous collaborations on various projects since 2013, in the spring of 2017 teamed up with danish drummer Martin Maretti Andersen during af series of workshops organised by Bodilsen.
The chemistry between the three kindred spirits is obvious - both on recordings as in their live performances. Their first album Pinocchio e altri racconti - an album dedicated to italian movie and theater composer Fiorenzo Carpi has recieved great reviews and their 2nd album Incontro was the stepping stone for concerts around Europe with a repertoire also consisting of original compositions. Zambrinis compositions - often interpreted by other italian jazz artists - posses profound melodic qualities and are known for their multiple layers and landscapes of melancholy, surrealism and an ever present ingredient of humour.
In May 2022 they will be in Denmark recording a new trio album and in connection with that they will perform in Copenhagen at Metronomen on May 9th. It will be the only concert they do in Denmark.

The Dante Alighieri Society founded in Rome in 1889 by a group of intellectuals led by Giosuè Carducci, with the aim of protecting and spreading the Italian language and culture throughout the world, "reviving the spiritual ties of fellow countrymen abroad with the mother country and nourishing love and worship for Italian civilization among foreigners ”.
The association, open to all people interested in the Italian language and culture - regardless of their nationality, religious confession, political or ideological orientation - creates and supports schools, libraries, clubs and courses in Italian language and culture, spreads books and publications, promotes conferences, cultural trips and artistic events, assigns prizes and scholarships.
