Artist Talk: Sigrid Sandström
During CHART, Cecilia Hillström Gallery welcomes you to an artist talk with exhibiting artist Sigrid Sandström.
Working primarily with painting, Sigrid Sandström has continuously been exploring site as a concept as well as emotional experience. Over time, the often depicted large-scale, barren and uninhabited landscapes have become more abstract.
Her paintings fail to conform into categories and continuously explores the ontological conditions and limitations of painting. Sandström’s focus in her CHART presentation will be to further explore how layers and textures of paint allow her to explore a site-specific experience.
This talk is moderated by artist Lina Selander.
