Big Chief Red Top & The Wild Troublemakers er et stort band, sammensat af nogle af Aarhus’ dygtigste musikere. De spiller af ren kærlighed til musikken, kulturen og selve byen New Orleans – uden selv at få noget for det. Musikken er den helt særlige New Orleans-variant af funk, soul og rhythm’n’blues – sjælfuld dansemusik med inspiration fra The Meters, Wild Tchoupitoulas, Dr. John, Allen Toussaint og byens mange brass-bands.
Selvom det er mere end ti år siden, orkanen Katrina hærgede i New Orleans, er byen stadig mærket af katastrofen. Derfor er BCRT&TWT et band under foreningen ”NOLA”, der samler penge ind for at ’betale tilbage’ og hjælpe med at bevare den fantastiske og unikke musikkultur i New Orleans.
