Billund Kommune inviterer hermed til borgermøde.
Intentionen med mødet er at drøfte dilemmaer og løsningsmuligheder for en fremtidig regulering, med afsæt i den aktuelle situation i Billund, samt at få inputs fra jer, der kender byen og bruger den til daglig.
Den igangværende og planlagte omdannelse samt fortætning af Billund Midtby medfører ny efterspørgsel og ændrede krav i forhold til parkeringsmulighederne i midtbyen.
Et stigende antal turister og flere beboere, kunder og ansatte vil øge behovet for både kort- og langtidsparkering. Parkeringspladserne i midtbyen vil være særdeles attraktive for besøgende til LEGO House, hvor alternativet er at parkere i LEGO House P-huset på Hovedgaden mod betaling.
Uden restriktioner på de offentlige parkeringspladser er der stor risiko for, at de i fremtiden vil blive optaget af turister og pendlere, og at lokalbefolkningen derfor vil opleve en kraftig forringelse af mulighederne for at finde en ledig parkeringsplads. Det er derfor nødvendigt, at vedtage nye tiltag for regulering af parkeringsarealerne.
