Karen Blixen er først og fremmest kendt som forfatter. Der bliver sjældent talt om, at hun livet igennem var en passioneret læser, som byggede sine fortællinger på det, som hun havde læst. Hendes smukke og omfattende bogsamling med litteratur på næsten alverdens sprog kan opleves i et nyindrettet rum som en del af museets faste udstilling.
Blixens Bogsamling er en række samtaler med forfattere, der sætter fokus på nogle af de forfatterskaber, som stod i reolerne på Rungstedlund. Hvad betød værkerne for Karen Blixen? Hvordan læser vi dem i dag?Hvordan bruger forfattere andre forfatteres bøger?
Denne aften får Rungstedlund besøg af Kristian Leth, der i det populære P1-program Bibelen Leth fortalt sammen med journalist Lauge Hendriksen undersøger, om vi kan forstå os selv og det samfund, vi lever i, hvis ikke vi forstår Bibelen.

Om Tabernaklet
Arrangementet er en del af Karen Blixen Museums sensommer-festival TABERNAKLET, der finder sted i et smukt telt på plænen med udsigt til dammen og Fuglereservatet.
