Alle elsker Bølle-Bob og hans skønne venner. Hvem husker ikke Sally, Kalle, Sara, Blom, Sjokke, Valde og Iversen? Der er altid gang i den hvor Bølle-Bob kommer frem. Musicalen har alle de skønne sange som flere generationer er vokset op til tonerne af:
Vi er ikke rigtigt voksne, En ulækker fyr, Du-A-Gi-Du, Bølle-Bob-sangen og Valde Underbid.
Bølle-Bob figuren blev skabt af Gunnar Geertsen i 1979 og udgivet som plade, der blevet lavet et program i DR og sangene blev gjort kendte af Hornomkore og en film blev det også til.
Musicaludgaven havde ur-premiere i 1993 på Gellerupscenen og kan i år fejre sit 25 års jubilæum.
Som en lille kuriosum kan vi fortælle at to af de voksne skuespillere Jens Helbo og Jørn Kildall, begge var aktive på Gellerupscenen, men de medvirkede ikke i forestillingen den gang.
