efter Ulf Nilssons børnebogEn dag finder Ester og hendes lillebror en død humlebi. De beslutter sig for at begrave den og lave begravelsesfirmaet VBB: Verdens Bedste Begravelser – for dyr. Til en rigtig begravelse skal man bruge: En spade, pinde til kors, smukke gravsten, hammer og søm, små og store æsker, pensel og maling, blomster, blomsterfrø og digte! Og selvfølgelig nogle døde dyr. De finder blandt andet:
En hane, ni mus, tre sild og en solsort, der hedder Lille Far.
Deres legende univers fører til både jordnære og humoristiske refleksioner over livet og døden.
