Den brasilianske stjernevokalist Céu vender tilbage til Nørrebro. Hun har tidligere givet udsolgte koncerter på Global, og forventningerne er høje til hendes første koncert på ALICE!
“Nyskabende og aldeles forførende brasiliansk drømmerejse” skrev GAFFA i en femstjernet anmeldelse, da Céu gæstede Roskilde Festival i 2010. Og den brasilianske sanger og sangskriver har da også taget verden med storm med et personligt udtryk, der forener de brasiliansk roots og tropicalia med en jazzet sangstil, afrobeat-inspiration og hilsner til soul-ikoner som Lauryn Hill og Erykah Badu.
Hendes debutalbum fra 2005 slog massivt igennem internationalt, og ingen ringere end Caetano Veloso udråbte hende til “the future of Brazilian music”. Begejstringen var endnu mere udtalt da opfølgeren ‘Vagarosa’ udkom i 2009. Albummet blev ikke alene udråbt til at være det års bedste brasilianske album flere steder - det omtales også jævnligt som en milepæl på verdensmusikscenen.
Også i Danmark har den ikoniske musiker godt fat i publikum, hvad flere udsolgte koncerter på Global vidner om. Derfor er det også en stor fornøjelse at kunne byde hende tilbage til Nørre Allé til koncert på ALICE. Céu har senest udsendt det kritikerroste og prisbelønnede album ‘Tropix’, der cementerer hendes status som en af Brasiliens stærkeste navne. I forbindelsen med udgivelsen udråbte The Guardian således også Céu til “a modern Astrud Gilberto”. Glæd dig til en sjælfuld aften med ægte brasiliansk star quality på ALICE!

After the release of her acclaimed album ‘Tropix’, The Guardian labelled her “a modern Astrud Gilberto”. She took Roskilde Festival by storm in 2010 and has also played sold out shows at Global.
