Resumen
La ponencia plantea un itinerario, sinóptico y en parte contrastivo, por las vidas y las obras de dos americanas, ganadoras sucesivas del Premio de Literatura en Lengua Castellana «Miguel de Cervantes»: Ida Vitale Povigna y Cristina Peri Rossi. Luego de la Introdución, donde se presenta el contenido del trabajo, se expone brevemente acerca del premio más importante de la lengua española y se destaca el hecho de que los dos últimos galardones a escritores hispanoamericanos (2018 y 2021) del premio configuran un palmarés singular, pues han recaído en dos mujeres, profesoras de literatura del mismo país, que han sufrido el exilio. A continuación, se repasan los hitos bio-bibliográficos más significativos de las galardonadas, procurando describir los ámbitos literarios en los que han desarrollado su escritura de creación, a la vez que se hacen presente las respectivas influencias literarias reconocidas, tanto por las
autoras como por la crítica. Luego, mediante la comparación de algunos de sus textos líricos representativos, se procura examinar y resaltar concomitancias y diferencias en el manejo retórico de las imágenes empleadas, para sugerir cuál es el núcleo
común y cuáles las divergencias de sus respectivas poéticas. Finalmente, se entregan algunas conclusiones.
