Dette musikermøde er en hyldest til ouden, klassisk arabisk musik i en ny mesterlig fortolkning bakket op af cubanske rytmer. Bilal Irshed er oud-virtuos og en sjælfuld musiker, der både dyrker det traditionelle mellem østlige folkemusik, og det klassiske arabiske repertoire. Med sig i denne konstellation er også Rasmus Møldrup bassist, og herboende perkussionist Yohan Ramon, Tine Vitkov, klarinettist og komponist der primært arbejder indenfor genrene world, jazz og experimental, Tine Vitkov i cumbia – bandet Calle de la Cumbia, Simona Abdallah m.fl, samt Ida Ben – Hamadou klassisk cellist ved Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium, hun lever idag som freelance musiker med en stor koncertvirksomhed i ind- og udland.
Det bliver et møde, hvor musikalske rødder mødes, med hver deres klange og magi opstår i en ny kontekst hvor det rene og organiske sammenspil mellem oud’en, nordisk jazz og cubanske rytmer bliver noget helt særligt.

Velkommen til Onkel Dannys Plads, som ligger i hjertet af Vesterbro kun 5 min fra Hovedbanegården. Onkel Dannys Plads er placeret i Den Brune Kødby, som del af de fine gamle bygninger, der opstod i slutningen af 1800-tallet, da byens slagtere skulle have et nyt slagteområde under hensyn til et stærk stigende befolkningstal og øget bevidsthed om hygiejne.
I dag er Onkel Dannys Plads et attraktivt område og en markant del af det københavnske kulturliv. Onkel Dannys Plads er en gårdplads, men også et skabende kulturfællesskab, som blandt andet rummer et spisehus, koncertsteder, eventspace og atelier.
