Cumbia til folket! Nogle af de mest markante navne inden for den danske latinscene hylder den højenergiske og dansevenlige cumbia, og dedikerer en hel aften til den oprindelige latinamerikanske genres energiske grooves. Den colombiansk-mexicanske duo Mambe & Danochilango og den mageløse chilenske percussionist Paulo Villegas inviterer til fest med DJs, cumbia-danseworkshop med live percussion og - sidst men ikke mindst - et brag af en Mambe & Danochilango-koncert med gæsteoptræden fra Paulo Villegas. Få danseskoene på i en fart og glæd dig til ryste kroppen!
Mambe & Danochilango
Mambe & Donachilango udgøres af den kendte colombianske MC Claudia Ahlfors - aka Mambe - og musikproducer Fernando Mora - aka Danochilango. Duoen bevæger sig over en bred vifte af genrer fra cumbia og hiphop over dancehall og balkan, men selv foretrækker de at kalde deres musik for ”global-bass”. Som tidligere balletdanser på Det Kongelige Teater har Danochilango været vant til at udtrykke musik gennem sin krop. Nu står han på den anden side som DJ og producer og gør alt for at animere publikums kroppe og bevægelser. Mambe supplerer med sin kraftfulde vokal, der melodisk og overbevisende peger tilbage på hendes colombianske rødder. Den festlige gruppe har for længst slået deres navn fast som et man skal holde øje med og har bl.a. delt scene med Dengue Dengue Dengue, Bomba Estéreo og Celso Piña.

På scenen denne aften befinder sig desuden en sensationel gæst. Den chilenske trommeslager og percussionist, Paulo Villegas, bidrager med sine energiske rytmer og beats og er af de fleste kendt fra sit band Cumbia Psychos. Han har aktivt deltaget i et væld af musikalske projekter rundt omkring i Sydamerika, Skandinavien og Europa og vil med garanti berige aftenen med grooves, der er umulige at stå stille til.
