Koncerten præsenteres som en del af Copenhagen Jazz Festival
Daimi fejrer 80 års fødselsdag og 63 år på de skrå brædder.
Det var i 1961 at Daimi på 17 år optrådte i en TV-konkurrence i Centralmagasinet - ANVA i Esbjerg, hvor hun sad i et telt og sang "Travellin Light". En optræden der øjeblikkeligt gjorde hende til et kendt navn i hele Danmark.
Hun indspillede mange populære singler, og blev så jazzsangerinde i Jørn Grauengaards orkester sammen med Perry Knudsen på trompet. Det er dette orkesters sound vi også rammer med Louisianas jazzband sammen med hendes populære hits og selvfølgelig det traditionelle jazzrepertoire som Daimi elsker.
Daimi er Danmarks mest erfarne solist, og hun charmerer stadig med sit ligefremme væsen og hun tryllebinder publikum med sin personlige og unikke sangstemme. Derudover fortæller hun også, i øjenhøjde med sit publikum, anekdoter fra sit lange liv i dansk showbusiness.

Daimi celebrates her 80th birthday and 63 years in show business.
In 1961, 17-year-old Daimi appeared in a TV competition at Centralmagasinet - ANVA in Esbjerg, where she sat in a tent and sang "Travellin Light". A performance that instantly made her a household name throughout Denmark.
She recorded many popular singles, and then became a jazz singer in Jørn Grauengaard's orchestra with Perry Knudsen on trumpet. It's this orchestra's sound we also hit with Louisiana's jazz band along with her popular hits and of course the traditional jazz repertoire that Daimi loves.
Daimi is Denmark's most experienced soloist, and she still charms with her straightforward manner and mesmerizes the audience with her personal and unique singing voice. She also shares anecdotes from her long life in Danish show business at eye level with her audience.
And if you've ever wanted to sing along to some Danish evergreens with Daimi, you can do that too as Daimi takes you through her musical life.
