De tre musikere dygtige musikere Makiko Hirabayasi (klaver), Jan Harbech (sax) og Morten Ankarfeldt (bas) lægger lyd til, mens Murakamis danske oversætter Mette Holm læser op og fortæller mere om musikken i den verdensberømte japaners forfatterskab.

En formidling af Haruki Murakamis novelle ‘Charlie Parker Plays Bossa Nova’: Charlie Parker har aldrig spillet bossa nova, men det lader Murakami ham gøre i en meget musikalsk novelle, som findes i hans seneste novellesamling Første person ental, som udkom på dansk i foråret 2021. Men hvordan lyder et traditionelt Charlie Parker-nummer udsat for bossa nova? Og hvordan lyder et traditionelt bossa nova-nummer udsat for Charlie Parker? Og hvad er det egentlig, der gør Beethovens 1. klaverkoncert interessant i den sammenhæng?
