”Den milde Smerte” er en film inspireret af forfatteren Thorkild Hansens (1927-1989) ungdom og verdenskendte forfatterskab.
En filminstruktør isolerer sig i en lille by i Sydsverige for at færdiggøre en film, som han har arbejdet på i over tyve år. Hans håb er at få skabt en film fuld af poesi og kærlighed -en film, som forsøger at belyse nogle af livets store spørgsmål.
”Det er ikke et spørgsmål, om jeg tror på Gud, men om Gud tror på mig.”
”Giv os ikke mere. Giv os det, vi har.”
”Lykken er at være den, man gerne vil være, der hvor man gerne vil være.”
skrev Thorkild Hansen blandt andet.
”Den milde Smerte” er en mands søgen ind i sit inderste, en lang rejse ind i en anden kunstners sind. En rejse der går fra en ulykkelig ungdomskærlighed i Danmark, til en ny stormende i Paris; til endnu en affære ved Comosøen i Italien, for at ende i Ægypten.
Men rejsen slutter ikke der…
Filmen er i 2 dele, hver på 2 timer og 20 minutter.
Der vil i pausen (ca. 20 min.) være åbent i baren.
Man vil før forestillingen kunne bestille sandwich til pausen.
