To honor, remember and celebrate those loved ones that have been with us and passed away. We remember them in the Days of the Dead (November 1 and November 2) with an alter (ofrenda). Like in the animated movie Coco.
During the workshop, you will create one mini altar as well as decorations in the traditional Dias de los Muertos style.
This is a craft workshop and involves cutting, gluing, sticking painting/colouring and such. It is expected that all participants can work independently with minimal assistance, or are accompanied by someone, who can assist.
The workshop will be taught in English and Danish.
Bring with you:
- 1 shoebox or other deep framed container that would suit. (eg: old drawer, deep frame, fruit crate .etc)
- 3-5 passport sized pictures of loved ones, who have passed, to fit into frames I will provide. Beloved pets are also allowed. For the pictures of people, the image should be a portrait, predominantly face. Or send me the pictures via email latest 48hrs before the workshop and I will size and crop them them.
