Do You Hear The Roars Outside This Building er en engelsksproget forestilling, der undersøger den koloniale indflydelse og i krigsførelse i Vestafrika.
I forestillingen Do You Hear The Roars Outside This Building følger vi Saam i timerne op til at hans præsidentpalæ bliver stormet. Saam er en idealist som prøver at forklare, men samtidig forstå sin situation. Han bliver konfronteret af sin kone Elisabeth Deetrys apartheid lignende holdninger og sin datter Wuules Deetrys, som stiller spørgsmålstegn til hans integritet. Løbende hører vi de vestlige mediers og statsoverhoveders holdning til ham.
Når man er en del af krige, må man tage til eftertanke hvad der har ledt op til dette. Hvilken politiske, kulturelle, sociale og etiske overvejelser der har været. Dette har også ledt til en øget flygtningestrøm til vores del af verden. Kan vi stoppe flygtningestrømmen ved at hjælpe disse regimer og styrer inden konflikterne bliver til krig. Kan den almene danske borger have indflydelse på noget så stort?
Baggrunden for at lave denne forestilling er at belyse en situation, som mange uden tilknytning til Afrika ikke kender til. Samtidig vil vi gerne udfordre hvad der definerer en diktator, og om det i alle tilfælde er negativt. For er en diktator også med til at oprette samfunds orden? Hvad er definitionen på en diktator?
Stykket er skrevet af Hervé Toure - Som gennem sin research om kolonisering og hans egen tilknytning til det afrikanske kontinent, ville fortælle en historie sjældent fortalt.
De medvirkende i stykket er Hervé Toure som spiller Saam Deetrys, med stemmespil af Karim Theilgaard.

DO YOU HEAR THE ROARS OUTSIDE THIS BUILDING
Do You Hear The Roars Outside This Building is an English play that explores the colonial influence and warfare in West Africa.
We experience the situation and events through the eyes of our main character Saam Deetrys, who is president of the fictional West African nation Westa. We follow Saam in the hours leading up to his presidential mansion being stormed. Saam is an idealist who tries to explain, but at the same time understand his situation. He is confronted by the apartheid-like views of his wife Elisabeth Deetrys and his daughter Wuules Deetrys, who questions his integrity. On an ongoing basis, we hear the attitude of the Western media and heads of state towards him.
When one is a part of wars, one has to reflect on what has led up to this. What political, cultural, social and ethical considerations have been associated with putting an end to the removal of heads of state. This has also led to an increased flow of refugees to our part of the world.
Can we stop the flow of refugees by helping these regimes and governments before the conflicts turn into war. Can we as ordinary citizens have an influence on something so comprehensive?
The desire to make this performance is to illuminate a situation that many without a connection to Africa are not aware of.
At the same time, we would like to challenge what defines a dictator and whether it is negative in all cases. For is a dictator also helping to establish the order of society? What is the definition of a dictator?
The Play is written by Hervé Toure - Who through his research about colonization and his own attachment to the African continent wanted to share a story rarely told.
The play is performed by Hervé Toure who plays Saam Deetrys, with the voice instalments of Karim Theilgaard

There is a lift to the dinning room on the ground floor.
It is not allowed to park on the territory of Union, but there is disabled parking by the house and public parking facilities directly opposite The Union building.
