Jakob Thorkild er en af de mest originale guitarister og toneangivende forfattere på den danske scene for eksperimenterende musik. I aften uropfører han i sit første samarbejde med de fire virtuose og elektriske strygere i Messer Kvartetten: dronemetalværketNOX TENEBRAE. Musikken er komponeret af Nicolai Abrahamsen, og Niklas Antonsson har skabt visuals specielt til værket. En koncert, der går på opdagelse i dronemetalmusikkens muligheder!
Libanesiske Mazen Kerbaj og Sharif Sehnaoui er for første gang på besøg i Danmark, og efter deres koncert med ”A” Trio på åbningsaftenen præsenterer de her deres banebrydende The Wormhole Project. Udover sit virke som guitarist er Kerbaj også billedkunstner, og på et glasbord skaber han denne aften billedværker live, som projiceres op på filmlærredet til lyden af Sehnaouis improviserede guitarspil. Lyd og billedkunst smelter sammen til en sammenhængende audiovisuel improvisation, der stiller spørgsmålet: ”Is the hand faster than the mind?” Efter koncerten danner Literaturhaus ramme om Mazen Kerbajs fortællinger om den højenergiske musikscene i Beirut.

20.00 NOX TENEBRAE: Premiere på nyt dronemetalværk af Jakob Thorkild og Nicolai Abrahamsen
Jakob Thorkild & Messerkvartetten: Andrea Rebekka Alsted (violin) Signe Ane Andersen (violin) Therese Åstrand Radev (cello). Messerkvartetten er Danmarks første og eneste elektriske strygerkvartet. Deres repertoire spænder vidt fra Aphex Twin til Led Zeppelin og dette efterår kunne de opleves på scenen sammen de tyske pionerer Einstürzende Neubauten.
