En tur om kønslig omgang, nødtørft og natteliv i Nørre Kvarter.
De små gader mellem Vesterport og Nørreport havde ikke det bedste rygte. Der var til gengæld altid en kommen og gåen, og logier, kroer og underholdning for enhver smag. Allerede på Christian IV’s tid var der 50 bryggerier i Vestergade, men navnet Pisserenden stammer fra lige efter Voldene blev ophævet. Dengang rykkede herbergerne ud, og de prostituerede rykkede ind og holdt skansen i området frem til 1990’erne.
Da byen lå inden for voldene var dette Nørre Kvarter, med berygtede strøg og pæne adresser. Lige om hjørnet fra berygtede steder boede nogle af Guldalderens respektable ægtepar. En enkelt ægteskabelig skandale mellem den smukke Sofie Ø. og den flotte og lidt flossede digter Baggesen gik der alligevel rygter af.
Mød også Herman Bang, Simon Spies og manden, der fik Guldhornene til at forsvinde.
Der festes stadig i Pisserenden, men der er ingen, der må lide døden for Unaturlig Omgang, og derefter komme under kniven i Anatomisk Teater.
