Ecstatic Dance & Medicine Walk 

19th of March from 5 pm - 9:30 pm 

Come move your body into alignment with the greatest version of your Self :)

By playing with vibrations, movement, sound and nature we’ll embark on a journey of strengthening our ability to listen to our inner guidance and act upon our intuition.

You can join just for a Saturday night buggy or emerge into the monthly journey around ‘The Medicine Wheel’ ~a model and never ending map that points us back to who we are as nature.  

Monthly, for the following four month you can join a journey around the medicine wheel’s four cardinals of remembering being a whole, balanced and vibrational being. 

Joining all four dances will also lay a perfect foundation, if you are interested in venturing on the Vision Quest taking place in July.

Before the dance, which is taking place at Dansekapellet Kuppelsalen, you are encouraged to venture out on a “Medicine Walk” in the nearby nature. 

A Medicine Walk is a way of tapping into your deeper knowing by expanding the awareness around you. A way of receiving insight to any question you may have. 

It is a walk into nature, where you allow all of your senses to be listening to the guidance of your Soul as it is being mirrored in nature. 

We will start out dancing our way into spring equinox on the 19th of March embracing “South” of the medicine wheel ~acknowledging the body being an important doorway into playfulness, emotions, sensuality and our instincts.

23th of April we’ll dance with our “West” ~our psyche, finding the rich soil through the shadow work of the underworld.

7th of May we’ll dance with our “North” ~bringing forth the gift, acknowledging structure and discipline in ways of staying awake.

25th of June we’ll dance with our “East” ~the mystery of it all, the transformation and the trickster. 

The evenings will look as following:

17:00 - 17:15

• Arrival. We will meet in the yard of Dansekapellet

17:15 - 18:30

• The ceremony begins
• Introduction to the concept of medicine walk. 
• Smudging (cleansing of your energy field)
• Medicine walk at Bispebjerg Kirkegaard 

18:30 - 19:00

• Witnessing each other in Kuppelsalen

19:00-21:00

• Estatic dance journey 

21:00- 21:30

• Closure of the ceremony

The 4 principles of estatic dance:

1) Dancing barefooted 

2) No talking on the dance floor 

3) No substances

4) No cameras or phones

You are encouraged to be fasting throughout the event but feel free to bring a snack and warm tea for after the medicine walk. Only water bottles are allowed in Kuppelsalen.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled, but can be transferred individually to another person.

The facilitator will add a sprinkle of Channeled energy through movement and sound throughout the celebration.

The facilitator:

Cornelia Hogg Christensen is an embodied movement / sound facilitator and ceremonialist. She draws upon principles and methods inherent from a grand variety of experiences as a body therapist, ecstatic dance facilitator, vision quest guide, clairvoyant, yoga and mystic meditation teacher.

Throughout the last 10 years she has learned and worked alongside many Shamans and self-development teachers hosted ceremonies, facilitated retreats, sweet lodges and dances all across the World. Passionate about creating a professional, creative and wholehearted space for you to explore your true essence.

She is a mentor, autodidact multi-artist and sound healer weaving together ancient wisdom from all corners of the world with her own intuitive practice and academic research background (Writing her thesis on the subject of Vision Quest). This provides the space with integrity, knowledge and wholesome understanding of many waylks of life.
