Gå ikke glip af den prisbelønnede danske pianist Jens Elvekjær, når han spiller Schumann og Mussorgsky.
Koncerten indledes med Schumanns romantiske Blumenstück efterfulgt af Kreisleriana - en dramatisk fantasi i otte satser. Schumann hentede inspiration fra en karakter af forfatter E.T.A. Hoffmann: Det vanvittige geni kapelmester Johannes Kreisler, hvis utilregnelige tilstand udtrykkes så tydeligt i værket, at komponistens kommende hustru Clara udbrød: “Nogle gange skræmmer din musik mig faktisk, og jeg tænker: er det virkelig sandt, at skaberen af sådan noget skal blive min mand?”.
Koncerten afrundes med Mussorgskys Udstillingsbilleder med virtuose beskrivelser af Viktor Hartmanns kunstværker.

Don’t miss the award-winning Danish pianist, Jens Elvekjær playing Schumann and Mussorgsky.
The concert begins with Schumann’s romantic Blumenstück, followed by Kreisleriana – a dramatic fantasy in eight movements. Schumann drew inspiration from a character from the works of the writer E.T.A. Hoffmann: the insane, brilliant conductor Johannes Kreisler. The work expresses his unpredictable personality so vividly that the composer’s future wife Clara exclaimed: “Sometimes your music actually frightens me, and I wonder: is it really true that the creator of such things is going to be my husband?”
The concert concludes with Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, which features virtuoso descriptions of artworks by Viktor Hartmann.
