ET BRAG AF EN SØNDAG AFTEN
Søndag aften starter ud med finalen i den Danske Images of the King konkurrence, hvor weekendens vinder vil blive kåret. Vinderen går direkte i finalen i Memphis i august måned 2018.
Der vil være 10 finalister fra diverse steder i Europa, som alle i løbet af aftenen vil kæmpe om en plads i finalen i Memphis og de bakkes op af live band og korpiger.
Foruden vinderen som vores dommere, Mario Kombou, Brian Trøjborg og Steinar Lyshaug har til opgave at finde, så har publikum også mulighed for at stemme på deres vinder.
Vinderen af publikums afstemning kåres som Folkets Konge af Rock´n´Roll 2018 og vinder foruden æren en flot statuette.
Vinderen af Den danske Elvis Festivals Images of the King konkurrence i 2017 Brian Troy afslutter aftenen med et Elvis Show som helt sikker vil være en vinder værdig.
Brian Trøjborg/Troy, Danmark:
Brian Trøjborg har optrådt med sit Elvis Tribute show og sit eget band “Elvis On My Mind” igennem 17 år over hele Danmark. Han vandt titlen Best Elvis Tribute Artist i Skandinavien i 2013, ligesom han også har været semifinalist i Europe´s tribute to Elvis i Blackpool i England to år i træk. Brian vandt Images of the King konkurrencen i Danmark i 2017.
Band og Korpiger:
Aftenen byder på et gensyn med Graceland Band fra Wales. De er vant til at spille for tribute artister ved shows i både ind- og udland. Bandet har været en stor succes ved de to forrige Elvis Festivaller, så der er noget at glæde sig til.
Vores korpiger The Passionettes har optrådt mange steder i verden og i mange forskellige sammenhænge – både som korpiger – og som hovedatraktion.
The Passionettes har bl.a. medvirket i shows med Elvis Presley´s egen guitar legend James Burton og har turneret med the Queen of Rock Suzi Quatro, ligesom de i oktober i år medvirker i shows med Suzi Quatro, David Essex, the Osmonds og Hot Chocolate.
