FIGURA Ensemble fylder 25 år, og d. 7. marts skydes jubilæumsæsonen i gang, med med en stor festlig koncert i Koncertkirken på Blågårds Plads, af et stort udvidet ensemble med masser af gæster. Aftenen indeholder både en uropførelse, en førsteopførelse af ensemblet samt en hitparade af værker som FIGURA igennem tiden har haft på sit repetoire!
Ved årets første jubilæumskoncert kan du bl.a. opleve følgende værker:
- Tróndur Bogason: Night Time, uropførelse
- Anna Thorvaldsdóttir: Fields, førsteopførelse af FIGURA Ensemble
- Peter Bruun: En klokke af sølv, der kimer alt levende sammen
- FIGURAs store hitparade med værker af: Per Nørgård, Anders Brødsgaard, Steingrimur Rohloff, Peter Bruun og Ursula Andkjær Olsen, Jens Hørsving, Jesper Egelund, Rasmus Zwicki og Peter Fuglsang.

FIGURA Ensembles jubilæumskoncerter i 2018 er støttet af Wilhelm Hansen Fonden, Solistforeningen af 1921, Statens Kunstfond, Dansk Komponist Forenings Produktionspulje og KODA´s Kulturelle Midler.
Organiser
En mezzosopran, fem musikere, en komponist, en arkitekt og en poet – FIGURA Ensemble er et musikalsk kollektiv i særklasse.

Gennem de sidste 30 år har FIGURA udfordret både samarbejdspartnere og publikum med ekseptionelle koncerter og moderne musikdramatik – for ikke at nævne Små Komponister workshops som rækker ud til den kommende generation af musikelskere.
