Behøver vi tale om traumer?
Helle Harnisch, som arbejder ved DIGNITY (Dansk Institut mod Tortur), har i 2017 udgivet sin Ph.d. om tidl. børnesoldater i Uganda i 2017. Hendes konklusion er (meget) kort fortalt, at de ofte svært traumatiserede børn kommer sig bedst ved ikke at tale om traumet.
Fundet udfordrer det psykologiske dogme om ”heling gennem deling” og at man nødvendigvis skal tale om traumer for at bearbejde dem.
I dette foredrag vil Helle fortælle om tilblivelsen af sin Ph.d. og om sin konklusion. Der er afsat god tid til spørgsmål og diskussion af dens implikationer for traumefeltet og (blandt andre) psykologers arbejde her.
Arrangementet finder sted i Dansk Psykologforeningslokaler. Der vil være sandwiches, frugt, the og kaffe ved arrangementet.
