Carsten Islington har fra 1997 lavet tv, radio og optrådt i hele landet med historier for voksne. I 1997 kunne man opleve ham fortælle om sine oplevelser i små vignetter mellem de øvrige udsendelser på det dengang nystartede DR2.
Islingtons historier omhandler hans egne oplevelser fra et liv på kanten. En Vesterbrodreng og "City-cowboy" med en helt utrolig livshistorie, fyldt med hårde strabadser og sære iagttagelser, i selskab med skønne, tvivlsomme kvinder og skæve eksistenser.
Har blandt andet været gift med Joan Ørting i 15 år.
Fra dørmand og tjener på Vesterbro, til oliebisse, trucker, bygningsarbejder, fotograf, vinduespudser, bodyguard, skolebuschauffør, inkassator, opvasker, kunstmaler og alverdens andre jobs i alle verdens hjørner.
Det hele fortalt med et glimt i øjet og en solid portion selvironi.
Foredraget er en donation fra Carsten Islington til støtte af Center for Mindful Living.
