MØD BOGAKTUELLE JAN GRARUP PÅ ALKEN MEJERI
Prisvindende krigsfotograf Jan Grarup udkommer i august 2017 med sit hidtil største værk ’And Then There Was Silence’ udgivet i samarbejde med det Skanderborg-baserede bogværksted BOOK LAB. Forlægger Søren Hørdum fra BOOK LAB fortæller kort om bogens tilblivelse, og Jan Grarup fortæller om sit arbejde som krigsfotograf og om bogen, der dokumenterer den verden af krig, sult og fattigdom, han har været øjenvidne til de seneste 25 år.
Om Jan Grarup
Gennem de seneste 25 år har fotograf Jan Grarup rejst rundt i hele verden og skildret mange af nyere tids markante konflikter og humanitære katastrofer. Grarups arbejde reflekterer hans grundlæggende tro på billede- og fotojournalistikken som redskab til at vidne, erindre og anspore til forandring og på nødvendigheden af at fortælle historierne om de mennesker, der er overladt til magtesløsheden. Jan Grarup har gennem tiden modtaget stor hæder for sit arbejde deriblandt otte World Press Photo-kåringer.
Billetter til arrangementet sælges i forsalg, da der er et begrænset antal pladser. Entré koster 75 kr. (+ 8,27 kr i gebyr). Bogen kan købes til arrangementet.
