Donald Trump er præsident i USA, det ved de fleste. Men hvordan kunne det ske, når så mange troede, at han ikke havde en chance ?
Johannes Langkilde landede i USA som ny korrespondent for DR, da Barack Obama netop havde taget hul på sin anden periode som præsident.
I løbet af sine år som USA-korrespondent rejste han i 42 af USAs stater og har beskrevet udviklingen i landet gennem personlige møder og oplevelser. Det har givet ham et unikt indblik i, hvorfor amerikanerne i 2016 brød med den politiske status quo.
Nu har han forladt et forandret land med Donald Trump i Det Hvide Hus, og i dette foredrag tager han os med gennem de fire hæsblæsende år i USAs historie og fortæller om sine personlige erfaringer, som også har dannet grundlag for bogen “Da amerikanerne gik hver til sit.,” der udkom d. 27. oktober 2017.
Kom med til gadekampe i sydstaterne, fangelejren i Guantanamo-bugten, Alaskas smeltende permafrost og Hillary Clintons valgfest, der sluttede som en historisk fuser.
