Det er Mik Schack – født Michael Hans greve Schack – ,som i 1978 afslog at arve Schackenborg. Han er gæst i møderækken „Mit Sønderjylland“, hvor han vil fortælle om sin beslutning og om Schack-familiens betydning også udover Sønderjylland. Mik Schack er især kendt for sin tv-serie „Mik Schacks Public Service“ på DK4, hvor han som kok leverer spændende retter samtidig med at han taler med interesssante gæster. Mød den spændende og fra radio og TV kendte multikunstner fra København til foredrag og efterfølgende debat.
