Kom og hør museumsinspektør Mette Harbo Lehmann fra Skagens Kunstmuseer fortælle om Johannes Wilhjelm som skagensmaler.
Først i 1910 kom Johannes Wilhjelm til Skagen for at male. På det tidspunkt havde kunstnerkolonien her allerede eksisteret i næsten fire årtier,
men sammenholdet i kolonien var stadig levende. Wilhjelm vendte derfor tilbage år efter år.
På grund af aldersforskellen blev Wilhjelm og hans jævnaldrende kunstnerkollegaer i byen omtalt som ”kredsen af yngre skagensmalere”
i modsætning til ”pionererne” – bl.a. Anna og Michael Ancher, P.S. Krøyer og Tuxen.
