Siden 1966 har Jyllandsringen ved Silkeborg været rygraden og krumtappen indenfor dansk bilsport, specielt bilsporten på asfaltbane. Her er der gennem årene blevet kørt masser af spændende løb med deltagelse af en lang række berømte racerkørere og specielle racerbiler. Det er noget af det, man kan høre om i dette foredrag, hvor Morten Alstrup – der er mangeårig speaker på banen og forfatter til flere bøger om bilsport – vil fortælle om racerbanens historie. I sit foredrag, der primært fokuserer på de første 20-25 år af banens historie, vil Morten Alstrup bl.a. komme ind på historien bag banens anlæggelse, ligesom der også vil blive vist film fra banens første sæsoner og stribevis af billeder fra banens lange historie. Velkommen til en spændende eftermiddag i bilsportens tegn.
