Den ikoniske Istanbul-sangerinde Gaye Su Akyol vender tilbage til Danmark med sin dragende fusion af tyrkiske traditioner, alternativ rock og psykedeliske toner. Hun har givet stribevis af koncerter på både ALICE, Roskilde Festival og senest Badesøen Festival og til foråret rammer hun ALICE på Stairway med sit fjerde album “Anadolu Ejderi/Anatolian Dragon” (Glitterbeat Records). Koncerten er en del af ‘Anatolian Dragon’ - The World Tour. Billetsalget starter fredag 18. november kl 12.
Gaye Su Akyol er et af de mest interessante navne på den tyrkiske alternative scene. I hendes fængende blanding mellem alternativ rock, anatolsk og græsk folkemusik og tyrkisk psych mødes brusende strygere og elektrisk guitar-twang med blændende saz-spil og rocktrommer. I midten troner naturligvis Gaye Su Akyols stærke stemme, som binder de mange forskelligartede inspirationer sammen til et personligt udtryk. Samtidig er hun tydelig politisk og aktiv i både LGBTQ+ og i opposition til Tyrkiets regime. Det skinner klart igennem i hendes sangtekster, som samtidig leger med mytiske fortællinger og superheltetemaer.
Siden Gaye Su Akyol udgav sin debut allerede i 2014, er det gået stødt fremad for den ikoniske Istanbul-sangerinde, som The Guardian har kaldt “The new sound of Istanbul”. Snart er hun aktuel med sit fjerde album “Anadolu Ejderi” (Anatolian Dragon) på Glitterbeat Records, og første single lover mildest talt godt. Gaye Su Akyol har med sit solide liveband allerede givet stribevis af koncerter på både ALICE, Roskilde Festival og senest Badesøen Festival, og det er en fest hver gang. Det kan vi også garantere at det bliver, når hun giver koncert på Stairway til marts. Billetsalget går igang fredag 18. November kl. 12.

Luna Ersahin
Luna Ersahin er en multiinstrumentalist med rødder i Kurdistan, Tyrkiet og Danmark. Med missionen om at forbinde mennesker og kulturer gennem musik, som hun skriver på kurdisk, tyrkisk og dansk, smelter sprogene sammen i flydende overgange. Hendes baggrund har gjort hende til en verdensborger, da hun har brugt store dele af sit voksne liv udenfor Danmark, hvor hun har tillært sig sprog og folkemusiktraditioner. Derfor kan man ligeså vel høre hende synge på svensk og spansk på det tyrkisk/kurdiske strengeinstrument saz og fyre den af på det brasilianske percussioninstrument pandeiro. Luna er forsanger i bandet AySay, som senest har vundet 3 Danish Music Award Roots.

Gaye Su Akyol is one of the most interesting acts from the Turkish alternative scene. In her catchy mix between alternative rock, Anatolian and Greek folk music and Turkish psych, roaring strings and electric guitar twang meet dazzling saz playing and rock drums. At the center of it all, Gaye Su Akyol's powerful voice ties the many different inspirations together into a personal expression.
Since Gaye Su Akyol released her debut already in 2014, things have gone fast for the iconic Istanbul singer. Soon, her fourth album "Anadolu Ejderi" (Anatolian Dragon) will be out on Glitterbeat Records. While the concert hall at Nørre Allé 7 is getting a new ventilation system, ALICE is moving into the music venue Stairway in Vanløse on January 1. 2023.
