En performativ totalinstallation om biodiversitetskrise, blomsterånder, okkulte ritualer og håbet om genopstandelse.
Over Påsken præsenterer CC et nyt tværæstetisk udstillings-og performanceprojekt, Ghost Flower Ritual, skabt af den danske billedkunstner Cecilia Fiona i samarbejde med komponist Sophie Meyer og det klassiske musikensemble Athelas. Projektet forener maleri, skulptur, kostumer, musik og dans og vækkes til live i CCs Hal 6, som én stor levende totalinstallation gennem en række live koncert-performances.
Ghost Flower Ritual tager udgangspunkt i en alkymistisk myte om en videnskabsmand, der brænder en blomst, kun for at få den til at spire igen fra sin egen aske. Til værket har Cecilia Fiona skabt en række skulpturer og kostumer, som aktiveres af musikere og performere under fire spilledage i april.
Cecilia Fionas (f. 1997) er en dansk billedkunstner og performer. Hendes værker skildrer drømmeagtige verdener, fyldt med magi, forvandling og fabulerende økosystemer.
Sophie Meyer (f. 1991) er komponist og violinist, modtager af Carl Nielsens og Anne Marie Carl Nielsens talentpris. Hendes arbejde fremkalder skrøbelige billedsprog, som har sine rødder i ekstramusikalske verdener.
Athelas
Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen er et af landets specialensembler for ny kompositionsmusik og særligt udpeget af Statens Kunstfond til at varetage og udvikle dansk kompositionsmusik.
Ghost Flower Ritual vil blive opført som live koncert performance ved 6 shows. Performancen varer ca. 45. min. og er gratis efter betalt entré. Tilmelding påkræves og er efter føst-til-mølle-princippet. Showet kan opleves af både børn og voksne.

Copenhagen Contemporary (CC) er Københavns internationale kunstcenter, der viser installationskunst skabt af samtidskunstens verdensstjerner og nye talenter. CC har til huse i den prægtige gamle B&W-svejsehal istandsat af arkitekt Dorte Mandrup, der med sine i alt 7.000 m2 smukke industrihaller har pladsen til at udstille de teknisk og pladskrævende formater, som mange samtidskunstnere arbejder i: Store totalinstallationer, performancekunst og monumentale videoværker. Det er kunst, man ofte kan gå ind i og sanse med hele kroppen.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your Ghost Flower Ritual tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
