Under Golden Days Festivalen får kunst- og historieinteresserede en enestående mulighed for at besøge den franske ambassade på Kongens Nytorv, som normalt ikke er åben for offentligheden.
Eric Lerdrup Bourgois, historisk leder ved Den Kongelige Livgarde, vil fortælle om " Den Kongelige Livgardes franske forbindelser "
Den Kongelige Livgarde har i mere end 350 år sat sit tydelige præg på København. Men at Livgarden, siden sin oprettelse i år 1658, er blevet præget af fransk indflydelse inden for militær mode, traditioner og meget andet, er mindre kendt. Og selv den dag i dag præges Den Kongelige Livgarde af sine franske forbindelser, hvilket bl.a. lader sig syne i forbindelse med vagten omkring Hendes Majestæt Dronningen.
