Golden Days Festival omfavner i år temaet "QUEENS" og i Kvarterhuset har vi grebet muligheden for at hylde de stærke kvinder i musikken og litteraturen.
Denne aften byder får Kvarterhuset besøg af en af dansk musikscenes upcoming bands, AYSAY, med en ægte, ung queen i front.
Luna Ersahin er født ind i et liv med flere kulturer som afsæt. Med en dansk mor
og en kurdisk far fra Tyrkiet, hviler i hendes stemme en fortælling om helheden i
de to halvdele. Som frontkvinde i AySay er det det samme budskab, der
udleveres i et fængslende lydunivers, hvor østlige og vestlige traditioner blandes;
saz og darbuka møder elektroniske produktioner, mens østlige toner sunget på
dansk glider over i tyrkisk i flydende overgange. Trioens musik søger at udfordre
og finde nye harmonier, hvor grænser brydes ned på nærværende og åben vis.
Fortællingen taler ind i skæbner delt af tusindvis af mennesker i dag, og AySay
søger gennem musikken at skabe nye, fælles fortællinger om at være menneske.
