The Danish Energy Agency, DI Energy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark are pleased to be hosting a morning event to take stock of ten years of environment support and discuss future opportunities for Danish engagement in Indonesia.
Indonesia is the largest economy in South East Asia, an emerging middle-income country with annual growth of 5-6%. Since 2000, the GDP has increased fourfold and millions of people have been lifted out of poverty. Access to reliable and sustainable energy is critical to Indonesia’s ambitions for continued growth as well as reduced greenhouse gas emissions. This is why renewable energy is the focus of this event on engagement opportunities as Danish grant assistance is replaced by modalities based on comprehensive strategic sector cooperation and trade.
Films and short presentations give the big picture of results and challenges in green transition. An interactive format ensures involvement of participants, including through video link with partners in Indonesia. The event takes place from 8.00-11.00am on 26 October 2018 at the Danish Energy Agency, 44 Amaliegade, 1256 Copenhagen K.
