Fra de alpine gletsjere til polernes isbjerge: kom med, når kunst og videnskab skaber rum for refleksion over fremtiden
I anledning af FN’s initiativ International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation inviterer Arts & Globalization og Det Italienske Kulturinstitut i København dig til en tankevækkende og sanselig eftermiddag, hvor kunst og videnskab bidrager til at udvide vores horisont. Som warm-up til Kulturnatten stiller vi skarpt på isens og gletsjernes tilstand og betydning i en verden præget af klimaforandringer. Gennem kunstneriske, videnskabelige og personlige perspektiver stiller panelet skarpe spørgsmål – og inviterer publikum til at tænke med.

Hvorfor isen smelter – og hvorfor det angår os alle:
Gletsjere indeholder 70 % af verdens ferskvand og spiller en afgørende rolle for både klima, økosystemer og millioner af menneskers daglige liv. Men gletsjerne smelter – hurtigere end nogensinde før. I 2023 oplevede verden det største vandtab fra gletsjere i over 50 år. 2024 blev det varmeste år nogensinde. Nu kræver det både handling og nytænkning.
Kom og vær med til at skabe dialog om og refleksion over gletsjer, klimaforandringernes konsekvenser og hvordan kunst og videnskab kan bidrage til en bæredygtig fremtid.
