Velkommen til den International Festival Sonamos Latinoameica 2022!
Sonamos Latinoamerica præsenterer med stor glad en aften med sangerinde Luz Maria Curriquiry og guitaristen Ernesto Hermoza fra Peru. I en akustik og meget intime koncert vil duo præsentere en repertoire af afro peruviansk musik med både traditionelle og nykomponerede sange.

Luz Maria har en 22-årig kunstnerisk karriere. Hun har taget sin sang til 27 lande i Amerika og Europa, deltaget i forskellige festivaler og delt scene med etablerede kunstnere fra Latinamerika og Spanien. Ernesto er en autodidakt musiker og komponist, som siden 1991 har udviklet et unikt strejf af sammenblanding mellem kreol-, flamenco- og jazz genrerne. Han har skrevet musik til forskellige teater værker og indspillet med: Joaquín Sabina, Susana Baca, Jorge Drexler, Eva Ayllon, Pedro Suarez Vertiz, Micky Gonzales, Jean Pierre Magnet, Lucho Quequezana og andre, og opnået 4 Latin Grammy-nomineringer og 1 guldplade.
Duoen er for første gang i Danmark.
Festivalen finder sted mellem d. 12. til d. 16. oktober.

Festivalen er en del af en international netværk af musikere som understøtter inspiration og udveksling musikerne imellem, og nærer der igennem den latinamerikanske folkemusik.
Festivalen Sonamos Latinoamerica CPH 2022 arrangeres af CkulturA i samarbejdet med Cinemateket, Union, Casa Latinoamericana, Casa de la Guitarra og Building Communities.
Med støtte af Københavns Kommune, Amager Øst Lokaludvalg, Valby Lokaludvalg og Statens Kunstfond.
