    Description

Christian Frigast is one of Denmark’s most experienced investors within private equity.

In 1994, together with a select group of investors, Christian founded Axcel, the first private equity firm in Denmark. Since then, Axcel has carried out 49 platform investments and more than 90 add-on acquisitions. Today, Axcel owns 10 companies with a combined revenue of EUR 1.2 billion and some 6,000 employees.

One of the most famous investments was the listing of PANDORA in 2010, which today still is one of the largest IPOs in Danish history.

Christian has been Managing Partner at Axcel since the founding of the company in 1994. Today, Christian is Chairman of Axcel Management and the Danish Export Credit Agency (EKF), and Deputy Chairman of PANDORA and the Danish Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (DVCA). He also sits on the board of directors of a number of other companies and organisations. Christian chairs and co-founded Axcel’s own think-tank, Axcelfuture, and he is an associate professor at CBS.
