J.Tex hører til blandt de bedste repræsentanter indenfor roots-, americana-, country- og folkgenren i Danmark for sit spil på guitar, banjo, violin og sin vokal. J.Tex har 6 albums og mange singler bag sig, og der er blevet arbejdet både ambitiøst og målrettet i forhold til en kontinuerlig musikalsk udvikling.
J.Tex har været nomineret til DMA i 2007 / 2015 / 2016. Udover at spille mange live koncerter har J.Tex også fundet plads til at lave filmmusik til bla. spillefilmen ”De Vildfarne” og en amerikansk dokumentar “Food City: Feast of the Five Boroughs”. Det seneste album ”Ship Coming In” høstede rigtig gode anmeldelser i både danske og internationale medier hos bloggere og på musiksites.
Frank Borgaard spiller mesterligt bas og synger sammen med J.Tex. De to har spillet sammen siden de var 16, og det mærkes tydeligt i deres samspil på scenen.
Duoen graver graver helt dybt i den store amerikanske musiktradition. En super duo med stort output og fantastisk swing!
